Participants will learn the importance of learning how to cope and help others when they have been through a traumatic experience. The basic principles of coping and strategies to prevent compassion fatigue are presented to increase awareness of how providers in all facets of care can operate from a trauma-informed perspective. Other areas of significance include overcoming setbacks, helping children to cope, barriers to healing and when to seek professional help.
